SER Contractor is proud to be delivering another project undertaking essential works at the West Wickham and Wilmington water treatment plants under the Thames Water Runway Zero Framework. As part of this decommissioning project, redundant GAC silos will be safely removed following a structured and methodical approach. The works begin with comprehensive site surveys, including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and topographical mapping, to ensure an accurate understanding of both locations. Inspections will also take place to confirm that all vessels are clear of internal materials before removal begins. Safety remains a priority, with thorough electrical testing conducted to verify that all power supplies are redundant, alongside a swept path analysis to assess the best vehicular routes for silo extraction.  This project demonstrates SER Contractor’s expertise in precision planning and execution, reinforcing our commitment to supporting Thames Water’s infrastructure with safe and efficient solutions.
